Moonstones are used as an excellent substitute for the pearl. Moonstones exhibit a beautiful phenomenal effect as the stone is turned in light. There is a beautifulshimmering within the stone, called adularesence, which makes the stone seem alive! The suggested minimum weight for these gemstones is 4 to 6 carats. Large pendants of 12 to 14 carats is also a common size, promoting the strength and effects of the gemstone.
All gemstones are selected with the aim to provide the greatest benefits. The stones are as internally and externally free from inclusions and blemishes as possible. The principle here is that the larger and "cleaner" the stone, the better the results.
